Welcome!
About
Us :
The Thomas Beaver Free Library is
Danville's historic public library. Located in Montour
County, the library has been serving patrons since 1888.
Today we provide comprehensive print, audio, video, and
electronic resources for your information and
recreational needs.
Announcements:
The library is
now
accepting your gently used donations. Please
bring them inside during library hours. We cannot
take textbooks, magazines, condensed books, or encyclopedias. Thank
you for your cooperation.
Movies at the Library
The library has its
own collection of
DVDs. Patrons with valid library cards may check
out a DVD for a one week period. Because of the
popularity of the program, each household is limited to
two DVDs. As with other media, the DVDs must be
returned in the library and not placed in the book drop.
SALE
Great deals for summer reading are yours due to the
generosity of our patrons who have donated books to the
library. Since the library has many of the titles,
the duplicates are for sale and you can benefit from our
good fortune. Come in early to get the best
selection. Enhance your home library at bargain
prices and help the library purchase new materials.
FRIENDS RERUN
It is time to renew your annual
membership to the Friends of the Thomas Beaver Free
Library. See the Friends page for how to
accomplish the renewal or stop by the library with your
dues. More importantly the Friends need members
who can help with planning, organizing, and working at
events to help raise funds for the items the Library
needs but cannot afford without the Friends support.
Even if you can only spare a few hours during the year
that help is desperately needed. .
